Hi Jeffrey! That unit had been previously given a movement order, so it didn't move by itself. We show the unit's movement arrows either for the selected/hovered units, or when you click on SPACE (which shows all unit's movement orders). Otherwise the screen would be cluttered with arrows and movement paths.
The units only move by themselves when routed - those units don't obey your commands anymore, and they flee to the rear area.
Yes I seen that you had given it a movement order, to bypass that little stronghold at 13:55 to move to Ft Capuzzo. When your tanks come across a stronghold in front of them your infantry moves to the left and engages the stronghold you wanted to bypass
@jeffreyschuller Ah, I see what you mean 😃 Look at 15:20. The infantry should go up (as the path suggests), but since it's path (seen at 14:08) is blocked by 7 RTR, it goes around the friendly unit blocking the path. That's one of the AI tactical maneuvers that are being executed automatically - moving around the blocking friendly units. It's mostly used when moving on roads and narrow areas. We tried without it, but it just wasn't right. You have a good eye, to be able to spot something like this!
@Tomislav Čipčić Thanks for explaining that😎 You enjoy the rest of the weekend.
