Welcome to the "Attack At Dawn: North Africa" game forum!
This is a place to ask questions, discuss about the game, the history behind it, and to enjoy talking to fellow wargamers. Be kind to each other, and we will have a great time.
Have fun! 😀
P.S. if you have any questions about the game, just ask and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
Fatigue is included in Morale factor. It represents both will to fight and condition of the unit. HQ is also modelled in the game. It's not a separate unit, but a part of a combat unit - it is attached to one of the combat units in the division/brigade. That way I can represent the effect of command radius and keep units more/less together without adding additional HQ units.
Yes, both of them. Experience changes from scenario to scenario, while Morale is the single most iportant factor. Morale is reducing during combat and movement. You can see it in the gameplay videos as the green line within unit counters.
Supply is also important for day to day operations. Each unit resupplies its Ammo and Fuel from time to time. The speed of resupply depends on unit's distance from its supply depot. The farther it advances - less frequently it gets the supplies.
I plan on covering the whole war in Europe: Italy, Normandy, Eastern Front ... etc. And also probably Tunisia and maybe even Crete mini-game. We'll see how it goes.
Hi Frank, and thanks! The units are mostly batallion sized. In some scenarios we even have company sized units. And artillery is represented by regiments.
Each unit has a set of factors describing their attack, defence and movement values. And they also have Experience factor which modifies their combat effectiveness.
Hi, this game looks very good. I really like the counter graphics. What is the unit scale? Do the units have individual quality rating?
Thanks
Hi Bob, and welcome to the forum! Regarding the beta test - we didn't plan to expand our playtesting group any further, but thanks for the offer. And regarding the price, it's waaay too early to say. But I presume we'll be in the range of other similar games ... To be honest, we're focused on playtesting and balancing, and when the time comes to release the game then we'll figure it out. But I think you will be ok with it 🙂
Stay tuned, and have fun playing those games!
Hi, Thanks for adding me. I have been playing wargames since the early 1970's both board and computer. Is there a beta programme I can help with? Either way looking forward to when this comes out. Any idea yet of the price range as I will need to clear (as in sneak it past) she who must be obeyed) .
Thanks
BoB
Thank you and keep Going.....
Thank you for you offer! We haven't yet decided if we're going to localize the game, but if we do I'll let you know. Thanks again and have a nice day!
Is there a possibility to get it localized into Spanish? If so i can be helpful
